Ben's Soft Pretzels raises $30K for vets

Ben's Soft Pretzels celebrated Veteran's Day with a VIP party for three selected veterans.

December 11, 2015

Ben's Soft Pretzels celebrated Veteran's Day (Nov. 11) at its headquarters in Goshen, Indiana, with a VIP party for three selected veterans. The veterans honored — Charlie Pomeroy, Tyler Manly and Larry Watson — enjoyed dinner with their families and prizes, and learned pretzel rolling. These veterans were nominated via social media.

"Veterans and our nation's military are two causes very close to our heart," said Scott Jones, CEO of Ben's Soft Pretzels. "We are always looking for ways to give back to our nation's heroes and one way we do that is a partnership with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

To date, Ben's Soft Pretzels and its more than 50 bakeries raised more than $30,000 for its military nonprofit of choice, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

"Veterans have done so much for our country and we want to give back in any way we can. The men and women who have served our country fearlessly are true heroes to whom we owe so much gratitude," said Jillian Koeneman, vice president of marketing at Ben's Soft Pretzels.
