Beyond Great Salads melts our cold winter hearts

Green Leaf’s Beyond Great Salads is adding three LTO artisan melts to its menu this week, including Kickin' chicken flatbread, mariachi melts and spinach dip paninis, according to a news release. 

The flatbread offering combines smoked chicken, pepper jack, provolone and herbs with a honey garlic sauce, while the mariachi melt merges cheddar, pepper jack, smoked chicken and pico de gallo with Tajin mayo. The spinach dip offering features mozzarella, provolone, baby spinach, artichoke hearts and spinach dip.
 
The 41-year-old brand is built around better-for-you options, something it featured long before today's market-wide moved in that direction. It has more than 40 restaurants under the Beyond Great Salads brand, as well as other chains, including Bananas Smoothies & Frozen Yogurt, South Philly Cheesesteaks & Fries, Far East and Villa Italian Kitchen, which this week made international headlines thanks to its tongue-in-cheek offering, the  #AlternateFacts Zero-Calorie Meat Lovers Pizza.
