Biscuitville 'rises' in central North Carolina

September 7, 2018

Biscuitville Fresh Southern will open four locations in the Fayetteville, North Carolina,  market next year, pending local approval, a news release said. The first restaurant is slated to open in Spout Springs in late spring 2019, at the intersection of state highways 24 and 87, followed by store No. 2 on Grove Street mid-summer.

The chain, which has 55 restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia, has remodeled dozens of its existing locations during the last three years as part of a growth phase for the company. The chain has also introduced menu items like Spicy Chicken and Honey Biscuit.

"Our company has been on a growth trajectory for several years, including opening new restaurants in existing markets," Biscuitville President Kathie Niven said in the release. "We very carefully evaluated several markets for possible expansion and concluded that Fayetteville is the perfect place to continue our growth."

Fayetteville, according to Niven, is the chain's first new market in 10 years. The new restaurant design introduced three years ago features a viewable "biscuit window" where guests can watch the bread being made. The new restaurant locations look like old barns with tin roofs, barn doors and lots of mixed materials inside, as well as free Wi-Fi and an enhanced beverage area with new options, like the cherry-flavored soft drink, Cheerwine.
