MIAMI — Burger King Corp. has announced the appointment of Armando Jacomino as president of the Latin America region. Jacomino will continue the company's restaurant development in Latin America and the Caribbean, including further expansion into Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Mexico.
He also will oversee the rollout of the company's global operational platforms throughout the region, and direct the introduction of new products and value-menu strategies.
Jacomino began his career at a Burger King restaurant in 1970 as a crewmember in Miami. He worked through the ranks and held restaurant management positions in both the U.S. and Latin America regions. After leaving Burger King Corp. to serve as a regional operations manager for two large corporations, he rejoined the company as a franchise business manager in 1998. Most recently, Jacomino served as vice president of operations, training and Mexico development for the Latin America region.
