Bojangles awards nine scholarships worth $1,000 each

Bojangles' has named the recipients of its 2014 Bojangles' Scholarship Award. The $1,000 scholarships will support six Bojangles' team members and three immediate family members of team members.

Bojangles' has named the recipients of its 2014 Bojangles' Scholarship Award. The $1,000 scholarships will support six Bojangles' team members and three immediate family members of team members as they continue their education. The recipients of this year's scholarship include:

  • Curtisha Earley of Springfield, Ga.
  • Matthew Hawkins of Spartanburg, S.C.
  • Whitney Haywood of Indian Trail, N.C.
  • Briyana Jackson of South Boston, Va.
  • Christopher Kaftanciyan of Statham, Ga.
  • Tyler Kennedy of Gastonia, N.C.
  • Alisha Luffman of Millers Creek, N.C.
  • Chizoba Odimgbe of Port Wentworth, Ga.
  • Jessica Vinas of Nashville, Tenn.

"We are proud that so many of our hard-working team members and their family members are taking steps to further their education," said Bojangles' President and CEO Clifton Rutledge. "It brings us great joy to help these deserving individuals along their educational career with the Bojangles' Scholarship Award in honor of our co-founder, Mr. Jack Fulk. We wish all scholarship recipients a great semester and a bright future ahead."

The scholarships are awarded annually and are available to all Bojangles' team members and their immediate family members. In this the fourth year of the program, Bojangles' selected qualified finalists from the applications submitted and nine winners were chosen at random from this pool of finalists. Each of the $1,000 scholarships awarded will be used toward tuition for the academic semester that begins in August.
