Bojangles’ has named Jayson Romeo as its VP of IT and strategic planning.

Bojangles’ has named Jayson Romeo as its VP of IT of strategic planning. In his new role, Romeo is responsible for spearheading corporate strategic initiatives designed to drive IT and organizational efficiencies, and leading the implementation of new technology across the business, according to a company press release.
Romeo, a 29-year veteran of the QSR industry, has served in leadership positions of increasing responsibility with such brands as Discovery Zone, Boston Market and Whataburger. He joined the Bojangles’ team in 2014, as senior director of strategic management, and since February 2015, has been leading the IT function on an interim basis. During that time he has been successfully leading the implementation of a new POS system in Bojangles’ company-operated restaurants, and realigning the company’s IT department, said Bojangles’ President and CEO Clifton Rutledge.
“Not only has Jayson brought years of QSR experience to the Bojangles’ leadership team, he is a forward thinking business leader with the ability to drive strategic initiatives across the finish line,” Rutledge said. "As a result of Jayson’s strategic planning expertise and extraordinary leadership of our IT department, we have exceeded many of our project implementation goals in 2015. I am extremely excited Jayson has agreed to take on these expanded responsibilities on a permanent basis."
Romeo is a graduate of Saint Leo University in Florida and a native of California.
