Bojangles' opens 400th restaurant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bojangles' Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits has welcomed its 400th Bojangles' location in Daleville, Ala.
The location is owned by Bojangles' franchise partner Winco LLC, operater of a Bojangles' in Dothan, Ala. Under the direction of franchisees Bryan and Scott Applefield, Winco has plans to open another location in Enterprise, Ala., later this year.
The first Bojangles' was opened by founders Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas in July 1977 in the SouthEnd area of Charlotte, N.C. In 2007, new Bojangles' locations were developed in Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The company expects it will open more than 40 restaurants in 2008.
