CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The 400th Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits location opened recently in Daleville, Ala.
The Daleville location is owned by Bojangles' franchise partner Winco LLC, which also operates a Bojangles' in Dothan, Ala. Under the direction of franchisees Bryan and Scott Applefield, Winco has plans to open another location in Enterprise, Ala., later this year.
The first Bojangles' was opened by founders Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas in July 1977 in the South End area of Charlotte, N.C. In 2007, new Bojangles' locations were developed in Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The company expects it will open more than 40 restaurants during 2008 to go along with a number of major renovations of existing locations.
