Bojangles', White Castle talk turkey

November 5, 2018

The calendar has turned, with Thanksgiving meals just a few weeks off. For those who don't, won't or can't cook their own feasts, at least two QSRs are offering some "no-sweat-in-the-kitchen" options, including Bojangles and White Castle.

For Bojangles, the turkey talk all revoles around its season fried turkey that has been a sell-out in years' past, a news release said. The fully-cooked, heat-and-serve product serves eight and is oven-baked then fried, frozen and vacuum-sealed, with heating instructions with each turkey.

"If you're wondering just how good this turkey is, Bojangles' fans begin asking about preordering their Seasoned Fried Turkey as early as the summer," said Bojangles' Senior Vice President of Marketing Randy Poindexter, in the release.

Additional side items available to compliment the main dish include mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, macaroni and cheese, dirty rice, buttermilk biscuits and individual baked sweet potato pies.

This "let the other guys cook" option is priced beginning at $39.99

For those who prefer their birds on buns, White Castle has brought back its Turkey Sliders and sweet potato fries, a news release said. The 99-cent sliders are made with all-natural, white-meat Butterball turkey as either a Bistro Turkey Slider topped with bistro sauce, or Cheddar Apple Butter Turkey Slider, topped with cheddar and cinnamon apple butter. Or for real gobblers, the chain is offering the Seasonal Sampler with two Bistro Turkey Sliders, six Original Sliders and a sack of sweet potato fries for $7.99.

For customers who turn up noses at turkey, the chain is also offering a value deal in its Cheesy 10 Sack, offering a choice of 10 American, smoked cheddar or jalapeno cheese sliders for only $7.99.
