OMAHA, Neb. — During a visit to his local Dairy Queen for the launch of the new Girl Scouts Thin Mint Blizzard, financier Warren Buffett gave young people with financial aspirations some advice.
Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, parent company of International Dairy Queen, told a group of Girl Scouts that college students should avoid credit cards. And for new investors, he recommended reading up on the field.
He also told the girls that he looks for employees who "have a passion for whatever they are going to do," according to a news release.
