Burger King adds new Chef's Choice burgers to the menu

Burger King Corp. has unveiled the new BK Chef's Choice burger collection.

This trio includes the Bacon & Bleu BK Chef's Choice and Bacon Cheddar BBQ BK Chef's Choice varieties in addition to the original BK Chef's Choice, all available across the country throughout the month of March.

"We have seen great success with the BK Chef's Choice burger, and the new offerings add triple the premium, made fresh-to-order burger varieties to our menu," said Alex Macedo, senior vice president, North America marketing, Burger King Corp. "The BK Chef's Choice burger collection is inspired by high quality ingredients paired with that same fire-grilled flavor guests have come to expect from Burger King restaurants."

Available at participating restaurants nationwide at a suggested retail price of $4.99 each, the BK Chef's Choice collection features:

• New Bacon & Bleu BK Chef's Choice Burger: 5.5 ounce flame-grilled burger made with seasoned ground chuck and topped with thick-cut, hardwood smoked bacon and Bleu cheese, red onions, sliced tomatoes, Romaine leaf lettuce and mayonnaise, all on an artisan-style bun.
• New Bacon Cheddar BBQ BK Chef's Choice Burger: 5.5 ounce flame-grilled burger made with seasoned ground chuck and topped with Cheddar cheese, hardwood smoked bacon, red onions, sliced tomatoes, Romaine leaf lettuce, mayonnaise and Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet 'n Spicy BBQ sauce, on an artisan-style bun.
• Original BK Chef's Choice Burger: 5.5 ounce flame-grilled burger made with seasoned ground chuck and topped with thick-cut bacon, American cheese, red onions, sliced tomatoes, Romaine leaf lettuce and savory Griller sauce, all on an artisan-style bun.

The Original BK Chef's Choice Burger was launched in October. The lineup is part of the chain's menu enhancement efforts, announced shortly after its sale to 3G Capital in late 2010.
