Burger King adds new franchisee in Iowa

MIAMI — MKMB Restaurant Partners LLC has become the newest Burger King franchise owner and operator. The minority-owned and controlled franchise group purchased 19 restaurants in the Des Moines, Iowa, area from Burger King Corp.
The debt portion of the transaction was financed by Bank of America. The 19 refranchised restaurants were part of the 72 Burger King restaurants that were acquired from Simmonds Restaurant Management last year.
