Burger King Delivery adds 16th market

Burger King Delivery has expanded into its 16th market — Tucson, Ariz.

BK Delivers allows guests in the delivery zone to order at BKDelivers.com or by calling toll free 1-855-Order-BK. BK's proprietary thermal packaging technology keeps hot food hot and cold food cold during transit.

BK Delivers now has one live delivery restaurant in the Tucson area serving Colonial Villas, Jefferson Park, Ocotillo Oracle, Adelanto, Feldmans, Iron Horse, Rincon Heights, Barrio Hollywood and two colleges — Arizona University and Pima Community College. This initial location will serve as a training ground for each of these markets; allowing operators to learn the system and train their crew members prior to expanding the offering to other locations in this DMA.

BK Delivers is already available in Boston, New York, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis and Spokane, Wash.

"As its popularity has grown, we have seen an increasing demand for the program in other markets," said Petru Pusta, director, Retail Innovation and Non Traditional Channels, Burger King Worldwide Inc. "This expansion was an easy decision as Tucson has some of our most loyal guests and the Burger King brand is excited to offer them the opportunity to enjoy the food they love, delivered to them in the comfort of their home, dorm or office."

According to a news release, consumers and franchisees in a variety of markets have expressed interest in receiving the service. The company is looking to expand and is soliciting input on its direction at BKDelivers.com.
