Burger King Worldwide Inc. and franchisee ADM Food Services, announced today the establishment of three new restaurants in the French West Indies. According to a company news release, these new units will be located in Le Lamentin, Fort-de-France and Guadeloupe, and are expected to open in April, September and December 2014, respectively.
"Bringing the Burger King brand back to Martinique reinforces our commitment to further strengthening our regional and global restaurant portfolio," said Jose Dias, president, BKW Latin America and the Caribbean. "ADM Food Services has excellent local, cultural and foodservice business expertise and we look forward to a strong opening and brand presence in the region."
The first restaurant is expected to open on April 1 in Le Lamentin at the Aimé Césaire International Airport.
"We feel this is a strategic location for a Burger King restaurant and an extraordinary showcase for the brand," said Arnaud Monplaisir, general manager, ADM Food Services. "For this first restaurant, ADM Food Services will be supported by the SERVAIR Group, an international specialist in airline catering and airport catering spaces as well as the Monplasir Group, whose focus in tourism, food catering, and waste management will be key in boosting performance in the local market."
Additionally, in agreement with BKW, ADM Food Services intends to continue its rapid development and open four additional restaurants in the French Antilles by the end of 2015.
Throughout the next few months, ADM Food Services will work together with BKW to set up the supply chain in Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guyana and execute a rollout plan to establish restaurants across the territories, the release said.
