Burger King franchisee completes acquisition of NC units

Burger King's largest franchisee, Carrols Restaurant Group Inc., announced it completed the acquisition of 30 additional Burger King restaurants this week. The restaurants are all located in eastern North Carolina.

According to a news release, with this acquisition Carrols has purchased 59 restaurants in 2014 and now operates a total of 611 Burger King restaurants in 13 states, including 164 restaurants in North Carolina.
