Burger King franchisees again vote down $1 dbl cheeseburger
July 13, 2009
NASDAQ: Even the promise of toned down content couldn't sway Burger King franchisees. They again voted down the proposal to sell the chain's double cheeseburger for $1 in the United States for a limited time, according to two franchisees.
Franchisees were concerned that their profits would be squeezed, especially since the ingredients cost more than Burger King's $1 Whopper Jr, or that higher-priced items would continue to suffer.
