Burger King may stop buying Fla. tomatoes

Louisville, Ky., Courier-Journal: Burger King is telling suppliers it might stop buying tomatoes from southwestern Florida, where farmworkers have urged the hamburger chain to pay more for produce to boost field-worker wages.
For more than a year, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers has tried to persuade Burger King to sign a deal similar to those with Yum Brands of Louisville, Ky., and McDonald's of Oak Brook, Ill.
