Burger King net jumps 41 percent

MIAMI — Burger King Holdings Inc. reported today that its net income for its fiscal year 2007 second quarter increased to $38 million, compared to the same period last year.
Revenue for the quarter was $559 million, up 9 percent from last year.Worldwide, comps increased 4 percent, marking the 12th consecutive increase in comps for the company.
Burker King also announced its first quarterly dividend as a public company. The dividend payment of 6.25 cents per share will be paid on March 15 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 15.
