Burger King promises to tone down ads

Advertising Age: Although Burger King has not announced the results, it offered franchisees a compromise to the four-month $1 double cheeseburger offer. Franchisees who had voted against the double cheeseburger plan could vote again, this time on a six-week offering.
 
The company also promised to tone down its sexual content in its advertising, something that has drawn franchisee complaints. The company is battling a sales slide that franchisees say started at the end of March and continued through June.
