Burger King rolls out soft serve platform in Canada

Burger King restaurants in Canada have introduced hand-spun shakes, premium sundaes and traditional soft serve cones.

"The Burger King soft serve dessert menu couldn't have arrived at a better time," said Cameron Loopstra, Canada senior marketing manager, Burger King Worldwide. "With sizzling temperatures across the country and no end in sight, we are offering Canadians a much needed cool and delicious treat."

The new Burger King dessert menu in Canada features BK soft serve vanilla in a variety of formats:

• Original soft serve in a crunchy cone or in a cup;
• Hand-spun shakes in either chocolate, strawberry or vanilla flavors;
• Premium sundaes featuring signature toppings such as Oreo, M&M'S Chocolate candies, Skor and warm brownie; and
• Traditional sundaes made with soft serve ice cream, drizzled with chocolate, strawberry or caramel.

"With the introduction of these indulgent treats, we are providing our guests with a full range of dining options," Loopstra said. "We are continually looking for new and delicious ways in which to attract and connect with our Canadian customers."

Burger King first introduced its soft serve dessert platform in the U.S. in September 2011.
