Burger King subsidiary signs Taiwan acceleration agreement

TAIWAN, China — Burger King Corp. has announced a new partnership and expansion plans in Taiwan.
Wholly owned Burger King subsidiary BK Asiapac Pte. Ltd. (BKAP) and DaChan Great Wall Group (DCG) have signed an agreement for BKAP to take an equity position in DCG subsidiary Home Chain Foods Ltd.
HCF has been a Burger King franchisee since 1989 and currently operates 33 Burger King restaurants in Taiwan. The additional capital infused by BKAP will be primarily used to accelerate the brand's restaurant growth within the Taiwan market.
DCG is a conglomerate of companies devoted to the agriculture and food business.
