Burger King restaurants in Taiwan are working with Beef + Lamb New Zealand to promote grass-fed meat in their products.
According to Radio New Zealand, the promotion will include Beef + Lamb NZ branding displayed in Burger Kings throughout the country, including on menu boards, tray liners and on the BK website.
The displays will include information about New Zealand's beef industry and farming systems.
The average Tawainese consumes only 5 kilograms of beef annually, versus 31 kilograms per New Zealander.
This isn't the first time a major quick-service chain has tapped into the grass-fed beef market in New Zealand. In 2009, McDonald's solidified a deal to incorporate the meat into its premium burger line in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
