Burger King to enter Indonesian market

MIAMI — Burger King Holdings Inc. announced that its subsidiary, BK AsiaPac Pte. Ltd., awarded development rights for Indonesia to PT Sari Burger Indonesia, principally owned by PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk. The first restaurant in Indonesia is scheduled to open in Jakarta by June.
"The Burger King brand currently enjoys a strong consumer following throughout the Asia-Pacific region, and we are pleased to announce this expansion. We look forward to the brand's successful entry into Indonesia," said Peter Tan, president, Burger King Asia Pacific.
