In honor of the big ape hitting movie screens, quick-service company Burger King said it has created one of its biggest burgers ever - the triple Whopper with cheese sandwich. In honor of the film, the QSR chain said, for a limited time only, restaurants will serve chocolate banana milkshakes in sizes ranging from 16 oz. to 42 oz.
Burger King introduced the Whopper sandwich at its first Burger King restaurant in Miami in 1957. Currently, the more than 11,000 quick-service restaurants across the chain sell more than 3.2 million Whopper sandwiches daily. Burger King said in-restaurant displays, along with King Kong-themed product packaging and national television advertising.
