Burger King introduced the Whopper Bar more than a year ago. Now the company is sweetening the deal by testing a dessert bar.
Burger King is trying out the concept at London's Westfield Shopping Centre with franchise partner KFG Group. According to Big Hospitality, the dessert bar is a standalone unit located next to a BK restaurant.
The company's first dessert bar debuted in Spain. The concept focuses on treats such as ice cream, brownies and cheesecakes.
If the test units are successful, the company could continue expansion of its dessert bars next to, or near, existing Burger King units throughout Europe.
Burger King has experimented with desserts before. In 2007, restaurants featured treats such as Icee Floats, Butterfinger Pies, and Oreo BK Sundae Shakes, for a limited time.
