Burger King unveils new Toppers burger

Burger King restaurants has added a new burger to its Toppers lineup. The Bacon and Cheddar BK Toppers Burger is 3.2 ounces of flame-grilled beef and is topped with thick-cut, hardwood smoked bacon and cheddar cheese on a sesame seed bun.

The Bacon and Cheddar BK Toppers Burger is available at participating restaurants nationwide at a suggested retail price of $1.99.

Alex Macedo, senior vice president of North America marketing for Burger King Corp., said the new addition is in response to the success of the Toppers line-up. Burger King first introduced the Toppers line in October.

"The BK Toppers line delivers top-quality burgers that are prepared fresh to order with premium ingredients, that we think surpasses any competitors' offering in terms of value and flavor," Macedo said. "We've seen great success with this menu line-up to date, inspiring our latest addition which showcases our new sizzling thick-cut, hardwood smoked bacon – a must try."

There are now four Toppers burgers available, including the new Bacon and Cheddar Burger, Mushroom and Swiss Burger, Western BBQ Cheeseburger and the Deluxe Cheeseburger.
