Burger King's marketing officer takes leave of absence

Burger King Corp. has released a statement stating that Russ Klein, the company's president of global marketing, strategy and innovation, has taken a personal leave of absence. During his temporary absence, senior vice president, business intelligence, Mike Kappitt will lead all marketing activities for the company.
Advertising Age sent out an e-mail alert this morning alerting readers to the news, reporting that Burger King CEO John Chidsey notified the system's franchisees of Klein's leaving via e-mail, wishing him "a speedy return."
