Burgerville inspires 500-mile bike tour
October 4, 2007
VANCOUVER, Wash. — Two Burgerville fans will attempt to visit all 39 Burgerville restaurants in the Pacific Northwest by bicycling 500 miles in four days.
Brent Krebsbach and Paul LaFrance came up with the idea after eating a meal at Burgerville and comparing how many of the chain's restaurants each had visited.
The Burgerville bike tour begins Oct. 6, 2007, at the Burgerville restaurant in Centralia, Wash., and ends Oct. 9, at the Burgerville at The Dalles, Ore. Guests may take part in the Burgerville 500 during those four days. The first-place winner will receive a Schwinn IC Elite stationary bike worth $1,099, the second-place winner will receive a pair of large Schwinn cycling shorts and a yellow jersey, and third- through sixth-place winners will receive a $25 gift card from the Bike Gallery.
