Burke Corp. funds food technologist scholarship fund

NEVADA, IOWA —Burke Corporation is sponsoring and funding the Iowa Section -InstituteofFood Technologistscholarship fund.
 
 The Iowa Section of theInstituteofFood Technologistsrecognized the Burke Corporation as a Silver Level Donor for funding the Outstanding Graduate Scholarship. The scholarship was given to Krisha Miller, a graduate student in Food Science and Technology atIowaStateUniversity.
 
 Miller, aMinnesotanative, researches comparisons of bran from several varieties of oats atIowaState. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in the food industry in product development or culinology. She earned her bachelor of science in nutrition and food science fromSouth DakotaStateUniversity.
