Captain D’s adds operations EVP to the helm

Captain D’s has named Michael Lippert as its executive vice president of operations. The former Arby’s COO, Lippert, assumed his new role JanuaryTh 4.

While at Arby’s, he led the operations of more than 3,700 restaurants and helped reverse a 9-year trend of declining traffic. Lippert also developed and implemented ARHS, Arby’s Hospitality Program, which increased customer satisfaction scores. He led all technical, restaurant and franchise and support services.

Prior to Arby’s, Lippert served as senior vice president of operations at RTM, a franchisee of 750 Arby’s units and 103 Mrs. Winner’s Chicken and Biscuits units.

“Michael's extensive and successful career in restaurant operations will be instrumental to Captain D's growth strategy in 2011 and beyond,” said Phil Greifeld, Captain D's CEO. “His wealth of knowledge in franchise and company operations will complement our executive team and enhance our field operations and customer satisfaction.”

Lippert’s hire comes shortly after Captain D’s named Peter Gibbons as vice president of product development. Also, Griefeld was appointed CEO in September.
