Captain D’s brings something fishy to Smyrna, Tennessee

Smyrna, Tennessee, is quite a ways from the coast, but that didn't stop Captain D's from opening this month there on Almaville Road. This is the brand's first end cap location, a news release said, and its third opening in the past two weeks. 

The Townsend family, which is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony there on Jan. 10, bought its first Captain D's in 2002 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It now has seven units with two more planned by the end of 2019.

Captain D's has 531 restaurants in 21 states.
