Captain D's sails into new location

Captain D's seafood has opened its ninth Arkansas location, at 2207 West Walnut Street. The location is the second for franchisees Brian Smith and Rodney Coat of SmitCo d's Inc. The group plans to continue expansion into northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri.

"Consumers have fallen in love with Captain D's innovative menu items and warm hospitality, and we're thrilled to be a partner of such an established fast casual industry leader and help expand the company's presence throughout the region," stated Smith.

Q1 marked systemwide growth and 2.5 percent system-wide same store sales increase, according to a release.

47 locations have been remodeled with plans for another 50 to undergo transformation later this year.
