Captain D's: Something's 'fishy' in Florida

December 7, 2016

Captain D's opened its newest corporate location Monday in Lake City, Florida, bringing the state's  total to 30 restaurants, according to a news release.

The company said it has identified Northern and Central Florida as primary markets, with recent openings in Tallahassee and Jacksonville, as well as a newly signed franchise agreement for Orlando. The news comes on the heels of information that the chain's Q3 results equaled the brand's twentieth consecutive quarter of positive growth. Likewise, the chain is on track for its fourth successive year of record-high system-wide AUV and its sixth consecutive year of same-store sales increases.

"We believe the potential for success in Florida is fantastic, and the opening of yet another new restaurant in the Sunshine State reflects the strength of our development strategy and wealth of opportunity that still lies ahead," said Captain D's Chief Development Officer Michael Arrowsmith.
