Carl's Jr. breakfast burger now stays up all night

February 16, 2017

Carl's Jr. is making its breakfast burger available all day at the chain's locations, according to a news release.

The 13-year menu offering includes bacon, eggs and hashbrowns with a charbroiled burger, cheese and ketchup on a seeded bun. Up till now though, the burger could only be had during breakfast hours. That changes now as the break-of-the-day burger becomes an all-day offering.

Breakfast offerings have been showin success in the QSR arena for some time now. Carl's, which introduced its breakfast burger in 2004, figured it was time for a piece of the action.

"When Carl’s Jr. created the Breakfast Burger over a decade ago, we became the first major hamburger QSR chain to put an egg on a burger and it really was the perfect marriage of a great burger and classic breakfast items," Carl's Jr. and Hardee's CMO Brad Haley said in a news release. "In fact, Carl’s Jr. has always sold its entire burger line during breakfast. And they make up a significant portion of all of the meals served in the morning ,so it became obvious that we needed to create a true 'breakfast burger' for our guests."

The burger as a single-patty sandwich runs $4.39, while double patties and a one-third pound variation with 100 percent Black Angus beef both run $5.69, according to  the release.
