Carl's Jr. expands to Toronto, offers 'Free Food for a Year' to celebrate Guatemala opening

Guatemala marks the 34th country entered internationally by CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc.

Southern California-based Carl's Jr. announced the opening of its newest Guatemala location at 7 Avenida 12-87 Zona 9, Guatamala City, scheduled for April 15, 2015. Its first restaurant in Guatemala opened just last month in the the Coronado Mall, both operated by franchisee Grupo CJ, S.A.

The first 50 customers on Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. will receive coupons for "Free Food for a Year" to celebrate the opening of the Zona 9 location.

Carl's Jr. also announced the opening of its Toronto, Ontario, Canada location open 24-hours a day and operated by Toronto-based 6Points Food Services Ltd. The restaurant will feature a shake bar offering more than 20 flavors of Chapman's Canadian ice cream shakes.

A press event will take place at the Queen Street location on April 7, 2015 from noon to 2 p.m. to celebrate the opening.
