Carl's Jr. founder dies at 90

Reuters: Carl Karcher, founder of the Carl's Jr. chain, died Jan. 11, 2008, of complications from Parkinson's Disease at a hospital in California, the company said. Karcher, 90, retired from Carl's Jr. in 2004.
Karcher and his wife, Margaret Heinz Karcher, started their business in 1941 with a $326 hot dog cart in Los Angeles.
