Carl's Jr. founder to be honored in California
January 11, 2007
CARPINTERIA, Calif. — CKE Restaurants Inc. announced Jan. 11 that Carl's Jr. founder Carl N. Karcher will be honored in Anaheim, Calif., with a star on its newly conceived Anaheim / O.C. Walk of Stars. The event will take place Jan. 16 in front of Disneyland and will coincide with Karcher's 90th birthday, according to a news release.
The Anaheim / O.C. Walk of Stars is meant to honor visionary leaders, entertainers and entrepreneurs who have made a positive impact throughout Orange County, Calif.
Karcher is the second Anaheim dignitary to receive recognition from the City; the late media mogul and Disneyland founder Walt Disney was honored with the first in November 2006.
