Carl's Jr., Hardees introduce spicy El Diablo burger

Carl's Jr. and Hardee's introduced the new Thickburger El Diablo available with sliced jalapenos, crunchy Jalapeno Poppers, spicy habanero bacon sauce and pepper-Jack cheese, on top of a Black Angus beef Thickburger served with bacon.

Carl's Jr. and Hardee's introduced the new Thickburger El Diablo available with sliced jalapenos, crunchy Jalapeno Poppers, spicy habanero bacon sauce and pepper-Jack cheese, on top of a Black Angus beef Thickburger served with bacon. Victoria's Secret  and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Sara Sampaio is starring in an ad campaign to promote the spicy new burger.

The ad, titled "Too Hot To Handle," features the model enjoying a Thickburger El Diablo in an ice hotel, where after a few bites of the burger the ice begins to melt around her. The ad began airing on TV on Monday and on the company's YouTube channels.

The Thickburger El Diablo is available with a 1/3 or 1/2 lb. charbroiled Black Angus Thickburger patty, starting at $5.49 for the 1/3 lb., and as a combo meal with fries and a drink starting at $7.99.

The chains will also offer a Crispy Chicken El Diablo sandwich featuring a five-ounce chicken fillet starting at $5.99, and a side order of Jalapeno Poppers for $2.69.
