Carl's Jr. introduces a new line of hamburgers
November 15, 2006
CARPINTERIA, Calif. — Carl's Jr. announced a new line of burgers: the Philly Cheesesteak Burgers.
The burgers offer thinly sliced steak and a juicy, charbroiled burger patty, finished off with peppers, onions, Swiss and American cheeses, and mayonnaise on a seeded bun.
"Other restaurants have topped burgers with cheese, peppers and onions, and called them 'cheesesteak burgers,' but they didn't taste like a cheesesteak burger," said Brad Haley, executive vice president of marketing for Carl's Jr. "They just tasted like burgers with cheese, peppers and onion on them. So, when we set out to make a true Philly cheesesteak burger that really tasted like the marriage of those two great sandwiches, we literally put a cheesesteak on a burger, steak and all."
The Philly Cheesesteak Burgers are offered in three varieties: as a single for $3.49, a double for $4.49 and a Six Dollar Burger for $4.99.
