Blip.tv has partnered with Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) and Carl’s Jr. for two new ad campaigns.
Carl's Jr. and blip.tv created three long-form, stop-motion animation commercials using only LEGO-like blocks. Two of the commercials focus on Philadelphia events, one fictitious, from the movie “Rocky” and one historical, signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Karni Baghdikian and blip.tv devised and filmed the commercials in collaboration with Initiative Media. The commercials are among a larger promotional campaign for the new Carl’s Jr. Philly Cheesesteak Burger, which debuted Aug. 14.
"Carl's Jr. is always looking for entertaining and engaging ideas that are above and beyond what is expected," said Brad Rosenberg, digital manager for Carl's Jr. "Working with blip.tv gave us the ability to create an ad campaign that would resonate with our core fans, while also appealing to a greater audience."
In addition to the Carl’s Jr. commercial, blip.tv and Samsung Mobile created a new ad featuring their new Android application for the new Samsung Galaxy S portfolio. The free app, exclusive to Samsung Galaxy S owners, will feature top television shows hosted by blip.tv. The new Android app is featured in the new ad.
