Carl's Jr. scholarship window opens

CKE Restaurants, parent company to Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, has announced that the 2023 Carl N. & Margaret Karcher Founders' Scholarship application window has opened. The brand hands out 10 scholarships worth $10,000 toward tuition each year, according to a press release.
"We serve so much more than quality food at Carl's Jr. We serve happiness, we serve community and we serve opportunity," Ned Lyerly, CEO of CKE Restaurants, said in the press release. "It is our honor and responsibility to help unlock the potential of these students and our team members, and there is no better way to do that than through education."
Applicants must live in one of the 14 states Carl's Jr. serves, be an incoming freshman at an accredited college or university and be 26 years or younger.
Carl's Jr. Restaurants LLC and Hardee's Restaurants LLC have more than 3,900 franchised or company-operated restaurants in 44 states and 42 foreign countries and U.S. territories.
