Carvel hits growth spurt in the Garden State

September 20, 2016

Carvel is growing New Jersey with plans for 20 locations in the coming years, according to a news release. The chain has 51 units there.

"We have an extremely loyal customer base in the Tristate area, and New Jersey represents an important region for us," said Carvel President Scott Colwell, in the release.

The brand is holding a “Discovery Day” on Oct. 4 in Saddle Brook for those interested in becoming franchisees. Carvel reported a record increase in same-store sales last year, the same year it rolled out a new store design to enhance customer experience.

"The fact that Carvel continues to grow in the face of the ever-changing frozen treat industry speaks volumes to the passion that consumers and franchisees have for the brand," said Colwell.
