CEO: Wendy's doesn't need sale
November 26, 2007
New York Times: Kerrii Anderson, chief executive of Wendy's, says a sale is not needed to save the company. She maintains that her back-to-basics turnaround plan, which she started in October 2006, is beginning to take hold.
Wendy's has posted six consecutive quarters of same-store sales growth and higher store-level profit margins. The company has launched new products, such as the Baconator, and is airing "red wig" television ads.
