Checkers and Rally's opens corporate unit in Orlando

Checkers and Rally's has opened a corporate unit in Orlando at 10793 South John Young Parkway, according to a press release.

"The Orlando location stands as a testament to the brand's enduring ambition," Alvaro de Palleja, chief restaurant officer at Checkers Drive in Restaurants, said in the release. "Checkers and Rally's model has proven itself in the QSR and drive-thru space and we are well-versed in the operations involved, as well as the customer base. We're eager to bring this new prototype to the Orlando market, providing more opportunities for job creation and business growth to the area."

The location features an updated prototype, marking the brand's first corporate store with the new look.

"We view this opening as a reiteration of our unwavering commitment to growth and progress," Kris McDonald, VP of development at Checkers and Rally's Drive in Restaurants, said in the release. "This expansion marks a pivotal step forward in our brand's strategic development plan, showcasing our commitment to innovation, community engagement and culinary excellence. Boasting an array of signature offerings, the new restaurant promises to elevate the taste preferences of Orlando residents and visitors alike. As we step into this new market, Checkers and Rally's brings aggressive plans to develop and grow our presence in Florida."

Checkers and Rally's merged in 1999 to form one concept. The brand is targeting markets in Wisconsin, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Las Vegas, Arizona, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The brand operates 800 restaurants.
