Checkers & Rally's expands Arizona footprint

Checkers & Rally's has signed a deal to bring the brand to Peoria, Arizona, further expanding the brand's presence in the state, according to a press release.

The restaurant will be owned and operated by franchisees Dan Leung and Fred Bux. It's the partners' fourth location, and they plan to open more before the year ends.

"We are very excited about bringing the brand to Peoria and expanding its presence into more areas in Arizona," Leung said in the release. "We were initially drawn to Checkers and Rally's due to its efficient store design, streamlined operations and iconic food offerings. It aligns perfectly with my dual passions for restaurants and business ownership. Together, we are looking forward to witnessing the positive reception from the local community for the new location."

"Dan and Fred are exactly the type of operators we're looking for, and with their unparalleled experience and love for the brand, we know they will flourish in Peoria," Kris McDonald, VP of development at Checkers & Rally's, said in the release. "As Checkers and Rally's grows throughout the U.S., we are eager to break into new markets and work alongside like-minded entrepreneurs and local communities."

Checkers & Rally's operates 800 units.
