Checkers/Rally's adopts RTIconnect back office solution
July 14, 2009
ATLANTA — Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc., parent company of both Checkers and Rally's concepts, has selected RTIconnect software for its back office in its 252 corporate restaurants, Restaurant Technology Inc. (RTI) has announced.
The Tampa-based chain has committed to implementing RTIconnect in all its corporate locations by first quarter of 2010. Checkers also announced that it is recommending the software to its franchisees for their nearly 590 restaurants.
Designed by RTI, RTIconnect is an Internet-based back office system that is geared specifically to the quick-service and fast casual restaurant markets. In the Checkers corporate restaurants, RTIconnect interfaces with the existing Aloha point-of-sale software for seamless integration of data into Checkers corporate accounting, payroll and reporting systems.
After evaluating several major restaurant back office solutions, Checkers began a pilot program with RTI in late 2008. The pilot concluded successfully at the end of May and coincided with an announcement to franchisees at the Checkers/Rally's National Convention in Las Vegas that RTIconnect was the recommended back office solution for Checkers/Rally's franchisees.
Noyes said RTIconnect will replace Checkers' internally developed back office program, which has been supported by the corporate office for a number of years.
