Chester's Chicken pits 2 menu items against each other in race to top

It's a battle of the bites! Alabama-based Chester's Chicken is putting its reigning champ, the brand's Honey Stung Chicken Bites, against the newly released Sweet Chili Chicken Bites, according to a press release.

Guests can choose chicken bites sauced and tossed in Frank's RedHot Stingin' Honey Garlic or the new sauce, Frank's RedHot Sweet Chili — or mix and match. Guests can then vote for their favorite via a QR code on the packaging, through its loyalty program or on Chester's Chicken's social media pages.

"Our Honey Stung Chicken Bites made with Frank's RedHot Stingin' Honey Garlic Sauce are a popular menu item, so it's time we gave it a little competition with another delicious flavor from Frank's RedHot," William Culpepper, VP of marketing, Chester's Chicken, said in the release. "Guests will vote with their taste buds, and we can't wait to see which flavor will wind up on top."

The winner will be crowned in January.

Chester's Chicken operates 1,100 locations.
