Portillo's Hot Dogs said this week it will take the fast food chain public, following its submission of a draft registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company – based in Oak Brook, Illinois has not specified the number of shares it will offer, nor the price, according to Chicago's WMAQ-TV.
Portillo's Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chopped salad, fries and chocolate cake are among the more iconic menu items at the brand, which currently has about 60 locations across Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona and California.
