Chick-fil-A is adding a new salad option to its menu, called the lemon kale Caesar, for a limited time at starting April 26.

It is the first salad addition to the brand's national menu since 2016 and was tested in Los Angeles, Richmond, Virginia and Louisville, Kentucky, according to a press release.

The salad features grilled nuggets on romaine and kale with shaved Parmesan cheese and lemon wedges and is dressed with a lemon Caesar vinaigrette and lemon Parmesan panko topping.

In addition, the brand has officially named an off-menu beverage. The Chick-fil-A Sunjoy, which features lemonade and sweetened ice tea, will also be on the menu come April 26.

"The lemon kale Caesar salad is one of the new items we're adding to the menu in 2021 to offer our guests more variety," Kaitlin Miller, menu category leader at Chick-fil-A, Inc., said in the release. "It's a delicious lower calorie salad option for those who enjoy a traditional Caesar salad and those looking to try something new. After testing this item in 2017 and receiving great feedback, we're excited to add it to our 2021 lineup of seasonal offerings."
