Chick-fil-A announced today that bottles of its signature sauces will soon be available for purchase at retailers nationwide, with all royalties from sauces' third-party retail sales going to Chick-fil-A restaurant employee scholarships, a news release said.
Starting mid-November, customers can buy 16-ounce bottles of the brand's signature Chick-fil-A and Polynesian sauces at Publix, Kroger, Walmart and Winn-Dixie in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. The program rolls out nationally early next year.
The bottled sauces start at $3.49 each, but the brand advised customers to first check with the stores mentioned to make sure they have the products available.
"Chick-fil-A Sauce and Polynesian Sauce were offered as part of a pilot program in select Florida retailers earlier this year, and we're excited to expand availability of our two most beloved sauces across the country," L.J. Yankosky, senior director of innovation & new ventures for Chick-fil-A , said in the release. "Restaurant team members go above and beyond every day to care for our guests and the communities they serve. We're thrilled that every 16-ounce bottled sauce purchased from a participating retailer will help provide additional scholarship opportunities to team members, who are a key ingredient to our restaurant experience."
Customers can also buy eight-ounce bottles of signature Chick-fil-A sauces at participating restaurants as well as sauce gift sets, however, those proceeds go back to the individual restaurants from which they are sold.
The Atlanta-based chain has more than 2,600 restaurants in 47 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada.
